BenchWarmer: this is a person sitting out for a round in the games with more people than allowed
Bid: spoken declaration to win a specified number of tricks
Deal: the play from the time the cards are dealt until they are re-dealt
Dealer: person who deals the cards and determines the next first player
Game: a number of deals defined by the rules of the game
Hand: what each player has after the cards are dealt or after each round
Kitty: cards dealt face down on the table and picked up by the bid winner
MainPlayer: in bid-winning games, the player who won the bid
Misere: special game in 500 where the main player tries not to take any tricks
Move: player and card combination
No-Trump: special game where the main player declares no trump suit
Opponent: the rest of the players opposing the main player and partner
Partner: the main player's teammate in bid-winning games
Rank: denomination of a card such as 2, 3, J, Q, K, A
Raspas: special game in 500 when every player says pass
Renege: failure to follow suit when required
